Continuity Planning for Community Groups - Upper Hutt

Date: Tuesday 11 June 2024

Time: 6:30pm - 8:00pm

Location: Upper Hutt Libraries, 844 Fergusson Drive, Upper Hutt

Would you and your staff be confident in an emergency? Do you have a plan, and more importantly have you practiced it recently?

Disruption could come in many forms – a major earthquake, flood, prolonged power cut, or even the sudden unavailability of you or a skilled member of your staff. Organisations must be prepared and have a plan to respond to emergencies. Having a plan and practising it ensures you can keep doing your best.

We invite you to our free 90-minute Continuity Planning Workshop tailored for Upper Hutt Community Groups, Not-for-profits, and volunteer organisations - particularly those who ordinarily provide services to vulnerable groups or extra assistance in a disaster.

This in-person workshop is an opportunity to learn not only from your local Emergency Management Advisor but also from the collective experience of other organisations in Upper Hutt.

Throughout this hands-on workshop, we will guide you through our 12 steps to Continuity Planning and you will go home with a draft plan for your organisation.

Light refreshments will be provided.

We hope to see you there as we build safer and more resilient organisations and communities together!
